We’ve been rather quiet on here, but we’re excited to share some big news and a big opportunity with you, especially those who might be interested in joining us.
Last year, we raised $2M led by Ananda Impact Ventures. The round also includes Stefan Oschmann (former CEO of Merck KGaA, a top 10 pharma co.), Alexis Ohanian (co-founder of Reddit), Patrick Nathen (co-founder of Lilium), and others. Here’s why what we are doing at Elio matters
80% of the final environmental impact of a drug is determined during process design [1]. We’re the only company developing a software tool that empowers scientists and process engineers to consider sustainability as a design criteria in order to influence these 1.6% of global emissions [2].
And pharma is just the beginning! The vision is to help embed sustainability-by-design across the entire value chain of a drug product, thereby helping other industries over time as well.
